Help on 35mm negative scanners

Recommended Posts

I am in charge of making a slideshow for my daughter's wedding, and also I want to put all my negatives (and maybe photos) on computer (CD or DVD).

I've been looking at many options as far as scanners, and I've come to the choice of a Canon 8400F which is a flatbed with negative/slide option at a moderate/economical price.

I looked at the Nikon Coolscan which looks like is top of the line but price is way beyond my budget.

Does anybody have a suggestion if the model I've chosen is ok, or have anybody experienced same situation and want to share their experience ?
