The Ring-Ntube plastics strike again got some more huge toads, the biggest over 22 inches! Fished the outside weedlines tried some kick'n bass scent, it really reeks, but the bass seemed to like it ! I wish I had someone around to take pics, mine didn't turn out that good.

Me and Carp fishr loaded up my kayaks and headed out to the Mississipi for some sunday evening catchn

I was casting a gold super bow spinner, Carp fished a jig with a gulp minnow grub, and also tried corn (of course)

Oh yeah! got a couple of hours of solo bassin action and the larrys came out to play

then as it got close to sunset went with a topwater popper and those bass just nailed it!

I went down to the lake after work hoping to tangle with a tiger. No tigers to be found but a few bass n pike came out to play.

First fish to hit the bucktail was a small bass with a huge appetite!

Got out Sat evening for a bit of bass chasing. got some on spinnerbaits and a frenzy rattler. Casey on a weedless frog and spinnerbaits. here are some pics

I met fish face Sunday evenening for a few casts in the mississippi. Fishy tried one of my kayaks and had fun!

I tried for pike or musky for a while with no takers, then I switched to the usually reliable bass and they were slow too, got a couple and missed some good topwater strikes. I hooked one that grabbed the current and pulled my a ways down stream!

I went out for some bass and pike action with ben, who was into a good pike right away! I came over to get a pic and as I was getting the camera ready, it escaped! and as it found its freedom, it also found bens thumb with its teeth!

I got a few chunky larrys and a scrawny snot rocket spinnerbaits and plastic frogs were the bait today for me.

I Got back out for some evening topwater action wednesday evening! The larrys were out in full force. Though I didn't get any real loonkers, they were all decent sized for a good bend in the rod!

Ben Newton was out there in his fishcat, he nabbed a few nice bass, including this chunky 3 pounder on plastics

I Got out for a while on a small metro pond, was going to hit the river but got lazy...I got the pike on foam poppers, no bass were hitting on top for some reason. Got a few panfish too.

Me and Fish decided to go do some kayakin for labor day. Jim led me all the way down to preston MN. It was definetly worth the drive it was a really pretty area. lots of easy rapids, cliffs, and lots of DUCKS! Ill get to that in a minute

We did get a few trout. Fish got some on his flies, I was getting just chubs, so I tried a superbow spinner and got some, they really were hitting it alot, but they were hard to hook.

It got dark before we got to the car way down stream in lanesboro

I had my LED headlamp on to cut through the dark and fog and hopefully find the acess! We were just about there when I heard a splash and the sound of wings looked up and there was a wild attack duck flying right towards the light!! at the last second I put my paddle in front of my face, and WhaM! he smacked right into it and ended up on my feet half knocked silly! We released it after this photo, good thing it wasn't duck season! :mrgreen:
