bottomdweller
I have a bag of grass seed going on two years and was wondering if any of you know if it will still be good in the spring or should I just spread it. Thanks
jps
You could do a germanation test. Some ag. classes will do this or your county extesion agent. You can also do it your self. Count out x # seeds. Wrap in a wet towel, set in warm location. Not sure of time on grass seed, extension agent should know. Or it may say on bag. I would think a week to 10 days. Also take into account the germ. test on the bag. probably 85 to 90 percent. Count # of seeds sprouted in towel. Can then decide if it is worth planting! Have fun!! jps
harvey lee
jps has it.The test will tell you what the end result will be.If it is not great you could overseed it this fall and whatever comes up will be a plus.
