ironman
Who do I call to find out if you can legally hunt an area or lake thats near a town or city? The local law enforcement, dnr? I've seen some decent looking spots while out and about this season but some of them look to be close to town or in what I would still call the metro area. Gordie
local law enforcement may be a good start and if it is cities or town limits they would know. Some cities you need to have a discharge firearms permit might want to check on that also. If the police dont know the dnr is the next choice I would take. you could also check with city councel or township board. hope this helps. jimbo80
If you hunt the area much, you may want to just buy a plat book. Worth every penny!!
ironman
Where would I find such plat books? I have a gazeteer and atlas as well as a Minnesota book broken down by county showing rec areas and such. Guess I'm not familiar with a plat book, but sounds like I need to be.
