trail camera battery life question

MNmikew

Question

I just picked up a Cuddeback Expert digital camera and hung it up this past weekend on Sat. For kicks I checked it late Sunday evening and the battery level was down to 2 (out of 4) using brand new Durcell D cells. Is this normal? From what the manual said it should last months not days. It also only had 10 pics on it.

TIA,

Mike

I used a Cuddeback 3.0 last year and the batteries lasted all season. If you can keep checking the camera, I would let it go until the batteries drain. If they drain in the next couple of weeks you should contact Cuddeback - I've heard they have excellent customer service. One of the benefits of the Cuddebacks is supposed to be long battery life.

Well, I went back up and checked the camera on Saturday. The batteries were completly dead in only 7 days. It had 75 pics on it. I'm currently running it in EZ mode with a 1 minute delay in LIVEmode. I'm thinking I may have a defective unit?
