When operating at slower, trolling speeds, I get a nice pretty picture, but when running on plane or just below, my nice "solid" bottom picture gets very thin and "pixilated" if you will. I never actually lose bottom, it just looks different at speeds over trolling speeds.
I've moved the skimmer transducer all over the place, up, down, left and right, to no avail. I think it may be turbulance from the rivets along the back of the boat, but I'm not sure. The same thing happens with two different units and two different transducers which were swiched out and run at different times.
Also, does anyone elses transducer throw its own rooster tail.
I am so very sorry to hear this and so sorry for the loss of Chamois. She was beautiful companion.
We will always miss the dogs we have lost. Unfortunately we lost both of our dogs just 6 days apart in November.
