holee molee De-ice device

Anyone ever try these for keeping ice holes open? I know in the last couple of years people have asked about something like this but I have never heard of this before. Go figure I read about it in a dog magazine.

I used one of those devices last year the thing worked awesome 5 below zero and it kept my holes wide open outside and actually increased the size of the hole over time with the circulating water.

its some do jiggy that sits in the ice hole and suppoosed to circulate the water and heat it slightly. Runs off of D size batteries or your depth finder battery I guess. I have never seen one in action, just heard about in my gun dog magazine.

Strike Master bought them out. They will be on the market next season. I'm not sure if you can find them anywhere now. I also have a simple system that really worked perfect for keeping the hole open even at -10 last winter. Maybe I'll get it going next season. I takes alot of money to get them to market. The old holee molee is now called the "Heat Pump" made by strikemaster. I picked one up from Fish House Supply a few weeks ago and have not tried it out yet. This weekend if its cold I'm going to use it.
