Man we tore up the sunfish last weekend!

The hot bait was the little atom optic stealth jig with a white or pink nuggie or noodle. Plastics outfished live bait for numbers and size most of the day. In fact I only caught 6 fish on live bait for the day. My fishing parnter used several forms of live bait and just shook his head as I set the hook again. When it slowed on plastics I tipped the optic stealth jig with a gulp maggot and was right back into them.

These little jigs really fish heavy for their actual weight and fishing in 8-13 feet of water there was no need for extra weight on a fairly calm day. My biggest for the day was a 13 3/4 oz gill. Lots of 1/2 lbers taken.
