Bear and Deer at the same time?

Recommended Posts

not sure if this has been asked on here before or not, but i was wondering if i am using my bow for bear and a deer walks out, after the deer season has started of course and i have my license in posession and whatnot, can i shoot that deer? Was just wondering cuz while baiting the other day i saw a couple deer wandering by my bait station.

No. You cannot hunt deer over bait. Bait is defined as any food capable of attracting deer. You would likely lose in court if you told the judge deer don't eat bear food. They don't have to be observed consuming the food, the food merely needs to be capable of attracting deer.
