huntingislife
The starter on my atv is not working so I pulled it out last night. The brushes seemed to be real good and everything looked like it should work. I hooked it up directly to a battery and its still dead. It was fairly clean in the case but would a good cleaning help? I don't know too much about these starters but they look simple and it seemes like it should work.
BobT
Have you got a meter that will check for continuity like an ohmmeter? Maybe the starter has an open circuit in the windings. With an ohmmeter, you should find fairly low resistance. If there is and open circuit it will show maximum resistance. Bob
