decent sized largemouth from shore?

is it possible to get decent sized largemouth from shore on any lake in the east metro this time of year, or are they pretty much saved for the boaters?

where there's a will there's a way is my belief. off a dock parallel to the weedlines could get you an occasional lunker thats been hidin' out. shore would be tougher casting through the weeds.

I caught this from a fishing dock on Lake Ann, a tiny lake in carver county. I fish mainly from shore I have had luck with texas rigged frogs and senkos. Also caught a nice 2lber on a yozuri floating crank bait on a small inlet near greys bay on minnetonka. Try using a crank bait along weed lines or under docks. I also caught a sunfish on that yozuri it was as big as the bait I guess he was pretty hungry!
