Twins

I work agronomy and am always driving out into the fields and checking fields in remote areas and is it just me but I have seen probable 3-4 times as many twins as I did last year and I thought last year I saw a lot. Anyone else seeing this or is it just a localized deal?

I've seen a few sets of twins out there this year as I have been driving around. I talked to someone who also said their son has seen a set of triplets in the fields around their farm.

Mild winters + good nutrition + an expanding deer herd/older does = more sets of twins.

In the past, when slug hunting, if offered a shot at multiple does I've always taken the biggest one (more meat), but the last couple of years I've let the big ones go, since they are the most productive and experienced mothers.
