Steve Foss
Nice shot, Jonny. They are beautiful birds, and I always think of Christmas goose steaming on the table when I see a greater Canada like this. Mmmmmm.
Tom Wilson
Jonny, I really like this--the dandelions give it a great color and nice touch. Not that it matters for the shot, but does that goose have a broken wing?
Deitz Dittrich
TW- not to argue. but I dont think them are dandys on the ground.. petals look too big. Tom Wilson
Dietz, If I'm wrong then argue--I don't have a problem with being wrong. I do sometimes have a problem with people telling me I'm wrong if I know I'm right though I am just being lite hearted there, but I don't mind an argument. We have gotten so fearful of offending people that constructive critisicm, or the slightest hint of an argument has become completely unwelcomed in almost all situations. That's too bad. We shouldn't be afraid to speak up if we know something, or if we believe strongly about something. I'll get off my box by saying this... I think your right, As it is a little late in the year for the Dandy's. I just didn't know what to call them. I have no clue what kind of stuff grows on the ground up there in the arctic where Jonnny lives. According to my kids, anything yellow and less than a foot tall is a dandelion, so I went with that. Dotch
Looks like the yellow flower might be birdsfoot trefoil, given the stature, color, shape, etc. Would have to have a little closer look tho to be absolutely sure. I have some dandelions here and there that have showed up since the last rain but not the yellow carpet treatment that happens every spring.
