Just a note for those of you who are going to apply for doe permits this year. Take some time to look at the deer hunting map and figure out what zone and area you want to hunt in. It's amazing to me how many guys don't know what area they are hunting in! North of Canby is not an area and neither is Southeast of Bemidji. Get the info ahead of time and be prepared, that way the application process goes faster. Also, and I know this probably won't help, don't wait until the last day to apply and expect to be in and out in a hurry. The license machines can only handle so many applications at once and the last few days it's really slow because of the massive amount of traffic on the line. Good luck with your applications!
