NFL Package on Satellite?

I just got off the phone with Dish Network and was advised that the NFL Package is not available. Is this true? I assumed they had this available each season. Does anyone have this programming on their satellite? Thanks for any replys.

I am assuming you mean NFL Sunday Ticket? I'm pretty sure DirecTV carries it exclusively. I think Dish Network takes a hit on this one every year. I know I switched to DirecTV for this reason only.

I have dish network, and I see they added the NFL network, channel 156 I believe. I hope they don't take it off when the regular season gets here.

Yeah, the NFL Network is also coming to cable from what I heard (if it hasn't already). Different story than the Sunday Ticket though. Its only available on DirecTV.

Yep, Sunday Ticket is only on Direct TV but it comes at a price. What I think is funny is that you have to pay extra (Super Fan package) if you want the games in high definition. The price keeps going up yet there are more and more HD games on "regular" programming all the time for free. Hard to justify paying extra to watch a few different games each week unless you are a fan of a team that isn't on TV much. That would be the only reason but still expensive in my book unless you split it with a couple of buddies and they come over for 17 weeks in row.

The NFL Network is going to be carrying exclusive games this season that you can only see on that channel. I believe these are Thursday night games later in the season. Definitely a must have. Dish Network offers this in HD so it's going to be great this year having that many games in HD.
