Eagle Lake Area, Fires

Just got back from the Vermilion Bay Area. Fished Eagle, along with various other smaller lakes in the area. Water temps are High, Water Levels are extremely low, and the area in general desperately needs rain. There are countless fires burning across Canada, the biggest I know of was near the West Arm of Eagle Lake. Even though we were fairly far enough away from it, at times it looked like someone dropped a Nuclear bomb on the area because the mushroom cloud was thick and high. If you are heading up to that area you might want to see if things are under control.

I also just got back from Eagle and they did have a boating restriction on part of the west arm because of the fire. There was a decent amount of rain in the area on Sunday morning, so hopefully that helped the cause.
