Trade Torrii?

So guys -- Trade Torii while we can, sort of (hurt) or pick up his option for $12 million? I thought that was nuts a yeaar ago, but we can't let him go with zero players back.

BTW -- What has gotten into Rodell White? He looks like a ballplayer now!

Trade Torii now, while he's on the DL, & the Twins won't get much for him. Teams are looking for an impact player right now, not for somebody who's coming off the DL on the day of the trade deadline. Add to that his sore ankle from the disaster last season, & GMs are going to look at him as high risk.

Maybe in August, if he plays healthy for a week or two, & if he clears waivers...I don't think that's too likely. Too many teams still in the hunt in both leagues.

I just hope he isn't stuck on a 5 year $55M deal & the Twinkies can keep him around. I don't think even the Yankees would throw Damon-type money at Torii.

With the injury now, I don't think the Twins are going to be able to move Torii. Besides, we can't be sellers right now in the free agent market.

He will not clear waivers, in my opinion.

I would sign him to a 5 year $35 mill with most money front loaded and a trade clause.

If he does not sign -- trade him NOW.

I agree with you -- we shouldn't be sellers, but we MUST get something for him if he is going down the road.
