River Boats

My Father in law is talking about trading in his plush Pontoon for something more suitable for River Use. Does anyone make any flat bottoms or such that have some of the Nice Comforts of Carpet, Nice Seating and maybe a console?

You don't mention what kind of a budget you are working with. On the upper end, a LoPro jet boat by River Pro may be a consideration. Its a true river boat. Everyone I know who owns one loves it.

Saw a River Pro out on Pleasant Lake one day pulling tubers. Looked like a nice rig and moved along quite well.

What kind of rivers are you looking at using it on??

The Upper Mississippi is a totally different animal than the Pools 2,3,4, etc of the Mississippi River. And I would recommend different boats as well. A RiverPro jetboat may be appropriate for a certain river, and a 24' Grady White may do the job better on a different river, and a 12' jonboat may be the best option for other rivers.

I would suggest letting us know what river(s) and where you plan on using this river boat, and good advice will follow.
