Two in One

I was out yesterday trying out a new body of water. I was throwing crankbaits in hopes of locating some fish. I hit this point that had deep water close and started to fish. On the second cast I got a hit. To my surprise, as I lifted the crank out of the water, I had two small largemouths on. This is the first time I had this happen to me. I am sure this is uncommon but was hoping to hear some other peoples stories.

This has happened to me once. But since smallmouth are aggressive, and there can be a number tightly clustered, this can happen occasionally. On mine, one caught the back hook, the other the front, and I had a double on on cast on a Rapalla stick bait. But it's only happened once. It was fun having two in the net, but the fight wasn't that good because they work against each other.

ive had it happen a few times.. the best was 2 fish on a rapala husky jerk during a tournament and both fish were over 3 lbs...

Deitz, sounds like two pretty nice fish . Like I said mine were tiny 10"ers. Still fun though.

I have never had that happen while bass fishing. However, I did have 3 White Bass on a Rat-L-Trap at one time.
