Lake Poinsett 9lb walleye

I just got back from fishing at Lake poinsett this weekend. I got this one on Friday 06-30-06 it went 30 inches long and weighed 9 pounds. This is my biggest walleye I have caught.

This fish was released. It took off right away when I got it back into the water.

I have been hearing REALLY good things from this lake! If my baby was not coming soon I would be out there in a heartbeat.

It was kind of slow over the 4th of july weekend. The weekend before fishing was good. Lot's of pressure over the 4th. Counted 40 boats that were fishing just on the east end of the lake last Sunday Morning. My Grandfather was there on Wednesday. He only got a smallmouth bass and one small walleye.

I here you about the Baby. My Son was born on June 7th, 2006. The day I got the 9lb walleye was the first time I had my boat in the water for this year.
