Muskegon Walleye Fishing?

Has anyone been Walleye fishing in the Muskegon area? I am taking a trip out there for salmon over the 4th. I have been kicking around the idea of chasing some walleyes down. Any information would be great...

I was looking for an answer for that same question!! We are pulling 4 boats down from NW Minnesota to Algoma for some salmon from the 1st to the 5th of Aug. I don't know where Muskegon is from Algoma, but being from up here, we don't like being tooo far away from a walleye, either.

Also, I would really apreciate any info on the salmon bite in the Algoma area. Being green to the salmon experience, any help would be greatly appreciated. We are hauling 21' Lund Baron's down with 4 riggers per boat and a few reels spooled with lead. Any tips on baits, times, colors, etc. would help me sleep a lot better these next few nights. Hopin for some nice weather, lotsa salmon, and cold beer!!

Muskegon is on the on the East side of the lake. We caught alot or Salmon. Next I am heading to Algoma also. We will be there the 3rd week in Aug. I know a great forum for that area. Reefer, shot me an email and I can give you the link.
