O2BFISHING
Spent a couple seconds on the rocks this last weekend and dinged up the prop a bit.Did not hurt it much just curled the edge on all 3 blades. The metal clurl is about the size of this text so it could probably just be filed off.If I take it in to a prop shop is that all they would do or can they fix it just like new ? 0 Surface Tension
I would imagine they'll try to get the prop as close to original as possible. Give Jay a call or visit. www.soderbloom.com
0 Wave Runner
I too spent a few seconds on a rock earlier this year and mangled my stainless a little. The big question after the impact, despite the damage looking minimal is whether the prop is now out of balance.I took mine to Formula Propeller & Marine and in about four days they had it looking like new. Do the lower end of your outboard a favor and have the prop looked at...
0 Animal
Most prop shops can do the work. Be aware that there is no give to a stainless prop and hitting hard enough to curl the blade likely bent the shaft. So, if you have not done so, you need to check the shaft to see if it is OK. Spin the prop and if you can detect any wobble the shaft is bent and needs to be replaced. Hopefully, you got lucky. Insurance will pick up the cost of replacement. 0 O2BFISHING
Good thought checking the shaft.I gave it a few spins and it does not appear to be bent. I will pull the prop and have it repaired and balanced this winter. thanks!

0 luckystiff
If you hit a rock, I'd have a mechanic look at it. I hit a rock 2 years ago with my Insurance Agent in the boat. At the time it tore off about 3 inches of the skag and bent the stainless steel prop. I had the skag welded and the prop fixed for $ 225.00 so I didn't put in a claim.2 weeks ago, my reverse went out on the motor and thought it was the clutch dog, come to find out, the gears were chipped and gradually wore out the clutch dog.The bill is now over $ 1700.00, an expensive lesson. Have a professional take a look at it. It could save you some bucks down the road
