Swimmer
Gorgeous. We get a lot of the black-winged variety here in the metro...the blue too. What lense are you using?
jonny_redhorse
only lens on this particular shot is my main 28mm-300mm on my fuji s9000...I shoved the lens to within 1/2" of the damselfly to get that shot.....yes.....sometimes they're accomodating........for me, to get those close-up macros,I need to literally put the lens right on top of my subject.........it forces one to really "put the stalk on em" ...sure, I could stand 6' away and use the "zoom" but just not the same...sometimes I "brush" the butterflies/dragonfly wings with the camera's lens...ticks em off a "tat", some fly ,some don't... ..on some of the other macros,I add a dioptor(screw on #4,#3 (55mm or 58mm) to the main lens(tiffen and/or kenko)...this combination seems to work quite well for me since I don't own any "high end" equipment...just "make do" with what I have (and having fun in the process)jonny
