I installed my furnace tonight but I cannot see how it will keep water out of my walls. First of all, the vinyl siding kit 'box' has opening's on all 4 corners. I would have thought they'd weld them or something? I tried caulking them from the back side, but I dont know how well it will hold. Also, the 5" tube looks like another place where water could get into my walls. It didnt call for any sort of sealent (furnace cement) where the tube meets the vent.
Anyways, anyone have experience with these units and comments?
We're usually fully stocked but you caught me on a bad night!
Tuesday night is usually "board meeting" night if you know what I mean. Stop in and have a tasty beverage some Tuesday night after these holidays are over and things get back to normal.
