boat value?

Most of you have more knowledge on the value of boats than I'll ever have.

First of all, is there a place to look up boat/motor/trailer prices to see retail/trade/etc.. prices.

Secondly, I found this boat for sale and I'm wondering if this is a fair price...

1998 Lund Fisherman 1800

1998 Evinrude 115 hp motor

1998 Karavan trailer (new tires)

5 swivel seats

x65 & x85 depth finders

lowrance 1600? GPS

dude, call a dealer and tell them you have a trade in and tell them about the boat they wiil give you a trade in value and go from there, by the way that sounds a little high for a 8 year old boat but I'm no boat guru. good luck.

You can check with NADAguides.com, but they are not accurate.

Price for your boat is average if it's in good conditions, have motor compression tested and lower unit pressure/vacuum tested.

That price sounds OK, maybe a little high, it is all about condition at that age. I ALWAYS ask "how long have you owned it, and why are you selling it" If he says "I bought it new and just got transfered at my job and have to sell it" - good, if he says "I bought it last year and I just want a new one" - that is a red flag. There are 2 kinds of people selling stuff, people that have to and people that want to, I like to buy from the guy that has to sell. Also I look around at the guys garage and truck, that is a sign of how he has kept up the maintance and repairs. Right now I would wait until after the 4th of July to buy a boat, the market for boats takes a huge nose dive after that weekend.
