I have a question about a prop. I have a 84 mercury 9.8 Hp outboard, the prop that is currently on the motor has three fins and that is where my question starts. The fins are just like any normal prop gently sloping outwards to push the water but then about 2/3 of the way to the end of the fin, it bends backwards and seems to be counter-productive to push water. This is true for all of the fins and they are all bent the same way. I am wondering if anyone knows if this is how it should be, and what the purpose is? (slower going or otherwise). Any help would be appreciated.
I am so very sorry to hear this and so sorry for the loss of Chamois. She was beautiful companion.
We will always miss the dogs we have lost. Unfortunately we lost both of our dogs just 6 days apart in November.
