Eagle cuda 242. My old sonar bit the dust last weekend, so I needed something new. I was not looking for the top of the line unit, I just needed to know the depth. I picked up this unit for $79. ( big spender huh??) It has digital readout of depth, temp and volts, very easy to use. The big drawback for me was the plug in on the back. I've always remove the finder from its mount and put it in a storage compartment and my old one plugged in very easy. This has got a very small 6 prong watertight plug that is not the easiest to get in & out. I slightly bent one of the prongs that was easily fixed though. I will now just leave it mounted all the time.
bottom line, for the money I was impressed. Very easy to operate all the controls and easy to read with polarized glasses. I really liked the volts readout to monitor battery. Oh, it also found a few fish for us last night
We're usually fully stocked but you caught me on a bad night!
Tuesday night is usually "board meeting" night if you know what I mean. Stop in and have a tasty beverage some Tuesday night after these holidays are over and things get back to normal.
