Where are the trout in the lakes?

Ive been fishing a lake that has been known to hold lots of trout. I have infact caught my limit several times. This year, I cant even find them? Anyone know anything about depths and feeding activity in deep lakes this time of year?

with water temps as warm as they are already, my advice would be to either fish from shore during dawn, or to look for the fish in the thermocline using a graph...

try to determine what their main forage base is, and think about where you'd find those fish and/or bugs.

I agree with Deadhead that by this point, large trout in deep lakes (esp. those in Central MN) will be spending lots of time in the deeper, cooler water. But they might come up now and then if they can't find enough food down there, looking for minnows, small fish, and emerging insects.
