Question

Any of you that have this boat - I'm probably looking at the answer but just can't see it. The in floor rod locker rod handle supports have a rubber bungee to hold the rods in place. The ends of the bungees don't detach / reattach though. How do you get the rods in there & use the bungee to secure the rods?????

Radm,

I push the rod forward and then pull back. Or just stretch the bungee, it does stretch quite a bit. Or just leave them in the rack outside of the bungee if not too rough out. I do wish they would detach though.

For rods that are short enough I slide the rods forward into the tubes, then back into the holders.

Or I don't use the straps at all. I don't like having to force the strap, this only happens with long (ie. 7 foot) rods and it usually means I'm also pushing on the rod and applying tension to the tip.

Plus I usually have so many rods in there anyway there's no room for them to bounce arouund.
