Hoffer
Well - just got back from 3 days on Eagle. The walleye fishing was fine. Many guys at camp reported the walleye fishing to be best they have seen in awhile. we were looking for big northerns - and didnt have any luck at all. we caught many, many small ones - and I mean small. They werent in the shallow bays, they werent in the deeper water - and they werent on the rocks....we dont know where they were We stayed at South Shore Lodge - and it was very nice. Very good service from Gord and his staff. No complaints at all - as far as that is concerned. In fact, we saw many boats coming down from the other resorts on the lake to fish the area around South Shore Lodge. It is a nice area on the lake - protected from wind, no cabins at all for miles. I would stay there again - but hope to catch the time right for the bigger fish. Has anyone else been up to Eagle lately?? I would like to compare reports... Hoffer
Musky Brian - not sure where you will be...but some of the guys reported seeing some huge muskies around Eldorado and Muskeg Bay. Looking forward to your post when you get back.
MuskyBrian
hmm where are those bays? I am going to be on the North Shore on "Big Eagle" to the East of Vermilion Bay. I have 7 days on this cabin, the fishing on Eagle will dictate how many days we spend on the water rather go to the surrounding lakes in the area...I would love to finally break 50" this year though and I know Eagle has em..
