Mushrooms

Are there any experienced mushroom hunters out here? When we went up to Canada we used to look for 'pfefferlings'. The resort owner was German, that's the German name. I'm pretty sure they're called chanterelle's here. They're usually found near silver moss. They have a gold color with more of a funnel shape.

What you describe sounds to be Chantrelles but could be other mushrooms as well. Some not so kind to the stomach.

Did they look anything like this?

Also what part of Canada?

That's them. We fly out of Red Lake, about 50 miles NNW. We used to pick bags of them up there.
