Post Spawn: How long does this last

How long does the sort of lazy post spawn period last.

Smaller metro lakes looked to have been "spawned out" last weekend -- can person expect the fish to be moving back into their normal shallows this weeked before the mid-summer heat drives many deeper

I was out yesterday caught a few 18" bass. I fished the same lake opener and couldnt locate any bigger females so it would appear that fish are starting to feed again.

The water is really heating up quick. Saturday the temps were around 71 degrees, wednesday the temps were pushing 82 in several locations.

ditto that last post, plus I believe the "post spawn" funk lasts about 2 weeks. I think that most of the bass spawn was over one to two weeks ago. So now there a very few spawning fish, quite a few post spawn fish and early summer patterns are getting going.

Favorite early summer patterns would be a good topic.

I don't dead stick anymore except as a last resort. I look forward to topwater fishing at this time of year. I usually go to a worm with a swimming tail and fish fairly fast. I like spinnerbaits when it's windy.
