Hey guys, I have an 02 Yamaha Kodiak 400. I went to fire it up yesterday, and nothing...no lights, zippo. Battery dead. I was able to jump it, and it ran fine for the 20 minutes I ran it (hoping the alternator would charge it back up), but when I shut it off again, same thing, deader than dead. I then put a charger on it overnight, but to no avail. All this leads me to believe that my battery is shot and won't even accept a charge. Is this possible, after 4 years of fairly easy use? Any other ideas?? If I'm right, where's a good place to pick up a battery? Any autoparts store?
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
