Where Can I Get Something Like This?

Say, if I wanted to work on the boat and want to take the engine off and set it aside. Where can I get this type of engine mount and what is it called?

It's an outboard motor dolly and can be ordered from lots of marine places. I've seen them in the "Big C" catalog as well. Problem is, most of them have a relatively low weight limit, so you can only use them for small outboards.

Geez, the one in the pic looks homemade - a hand dolly, some angle steel, hunk of wood, and some bolts. Can get all that at your local hardware store. Take about 2 hrs to build.

yeah it is home built but I was just using that as an example because I didn;t know what it was called.

My outboard is only a 9.9 and weighs about 100lbs only.

Do you know how much they would normally cost?

Build your own out of a saw horse.........That is what I use and it has yet to fail me.........2x4s are tougher than you think for "resting" weight. I have a 20hp merc I use on a saw horse all the time..........
