The babysitter

I am sure not all of these belong to this goose but she was doing a good job of protecting them while the others were away feeding. The late afternoon sun was playing hide and seek and she wanted to keep them in the shadows but I managed a few pics. It was hard to pic one to post as I had a lot of good ones but nothing that jumped out. I like the last one best as the light was just right.

I really like the fourth one down in the first post, very nice. I was over at the Wood duck honeyhole today getting a bunch of pics, you should venture that way if you have interest... one female has twelve ducklings.
