Or, if you want a REAL piece of equipment, but one of the new little Hondas. Run quiet, start on first pull and you can use them for a variety of purposes. Pay more now, but have the machine a whole lot longer.
Coleman stuff used to be good. Not so much today in my opinion.

If you are planning to use it a LOT I definitely agree with the Honda recommendation. They are really solid units and extremely quiet compared to most of the other brands. But if you only use it a couple times per year then maybe the lower priced units would be a better choice, since they are about half the cost. I recall that Northern Tool had a small generator on sale last winter that was rated almost as quiet as the Honda's but it wasnt nearly the quality. In any case, Honda's are definitely the best out there if you plan to use it a lot. Also, consider how much power you really need. If you are only planning to use it for battery charging, you can get away with a pretty small generator.
