Bass Fishing on Tetonka

Tetonka is a pretty decent bass fishery and it goes unnoticed at times. I see some boats working bass, but usually it's the walleye that everyone is after out there.

The shorelines are great on Tetonka. A lot of wood and fallen trees/over-hanging trees. If the bass are not up there, then try the immediate weed edge towards deeper water and they'll be holding out there. I've always found them at one of the two places...

I have not fished Tetonka for a number of years, since I left Shakopee. Matt gave you some good info. the south west shore has alot of willows hanging over the water, also the canals should still hold some fish. I liked Tetonka later in the year after it greened up, and the piggies went real shallow, then skipping the willows could be alot of fun.

Tonka is so big and there are so many places to fish that you should have no problems. Just get on the lake and find fishy looking places. The first time I went to tonka bass fishing all I was amazed at really how easy it was to find places to target. Just get out there, you won't be sorry.
