You talking the Half Moon in Eau Claire? If so, I've lived here all my life and don't know anyone who catches them consistently. There are some big ones in there, I believe most are taken ice fishing at night. For this weekend, I'd try casting Rapalas right before and after dark. Good luck.

BTW - bass are biting well on 7" power worms right now. Also starting to bed - get some leeches for those.

I grew up right next to Half Moon but have not spent a ton of time fishing it during the open water season. Half Moon gets deeper then the majority of the lakes in the surrounding area so I would start shallow and work my way deep. A good spot to start would be trolling spinners on the flats on the west end, the only problem with fishing here is the good numbers of bass that will also take your rig. The north east side of the lake has some deeper water with sharp drop offs that can be good for both jigging with a minnow or slip bobbing with a leech. I know some people that do very well for eyes in this lake, sometimes they can be a little difficult to find.

Good Luck!

Quickstrike, thanks for the info, I'll give that a try. There is a lot of Bass and Rock bass in the lake. I know that the DNR are trying to figure out what is going on with the lake.
