fishinaddict
There is a small 1/2 acre pond owned by the conservation board by my house. There is blue gills, bass, trout, and grass carp in there. The blue gills are so thick up by shore that you can catch them on a bare hook, but there all small. I will catch an occasional 1lb bass, or small trout. I know some one who caught a 20" rainbow out of there a couple of years ago.I also catch some grass carp while fishing for gills. Can anybody give me some tips for catching some of the bigger fish in there?
PikeBayCommanche
Well first sounds like that there are to many gills in there and they are stunting the rest of the fish. I would start by trying to get some of them out of there. If you can catch them with a bare hook..
