Carolina rigs, aka lindy rigs, can be your friend for rigging big plastics. Not only do they work well for worms and craws, but Lindy tubes are freakin deadly on a carolina rig.

I use lindy sinkers, cause I have a ton of 1.5 oz lindy sinkers for cat, sturgeon and carp fishing. I love it when I can use tackle and rigging for more than one species of fish

If you really want to get crazy stuff a ice fishing bobber in a tiger tube with a long line to the sinker. It will go nuts in the water and will even move backwards with slack line. Killer on rock reefs in the fall.
