How To Install A Transducer?

Guest

Question

I just bought a Hummingbird 565 fish finder and was wondering where on the transom do I istall the transducer? Also, How do you position the transducer? There isn't any pictures or directions as to where the top or bottom is on the transducer is?

You might want to look into getting a chunk of plastic for the back of your boat too, I now they sell plastic boards that you mount up to your boat, with a couple screws, and some silicon, so your not punching holes in your boat every time you change a transducer, just the plastic, although you don't probably plan on changing transducers or fish finders, it happens. Had I know this or thought about this my last boat would've had about 6 less holes in it. Not to mention if you somehow don't get it mounted right the first time, and you have to move the transducer..... wink.gif

Too late. =/
I've spent all day yesterday mounting the darn thing, running wires etc. I installed navigation lights too so I hope everything works well. I'll have to bring it into the lake and test it. I will post up pictures tonight
