Anyone own one of these reels, i.e. the powder blue with the drag set behind the spool. I bought one a few years ago and noticed that it is not very smooth. When I reel, it feels like there is some resistance. Other than putting it on the shelf, does anyone have any tips for making the reel smoother? Any secret reel grease out there that I dont know about? Years (many) ago, I read that if you put toothpaste like the old style Crest in the body, then reel and reel and reel for about an hour, it will smooth out the gears, and make the reel better. Anyone ever try this?
