jigginjim
My first walleye while wader fishing came 7 minutes into the opener. But was a small quick release. The next walleye landed on my stringer at 12:16 a dandy 20incher, followed by a 17incher. Only 5 fish caught out of 6 guys fishing the inlet, everyone left within 2hrs. BURRRR, it was cold, took 20 minutes to thaw out the hands, just to clean fish. Nice to be fishing eyes again in open lake.
icehousebob
It didn't come early but it was a fun one.....One of my sons just called that at about 10am, his friend landed a 40+ inch Muskie on an ultralight and a fathead minnow. They took a quick pic with a disposable camera before the release. No Walleyes to report yet. They're working Minnetonka.
