2005 Boat Options

rich4walleyes

Question

I know this is a little early, but I am wondering if anyone knows when companys start publishing info on their 2005 models. I am leaning towards a Lund but want to look at the others also. I am leaning also toward a tiller model. Any thoughts on this. Also what are your thoughts about buying a 2005 in the fall of the year instead of the spring. Thanks for all the info.

Fall is a good time to buy. I bought my 2004 Lund in the fall of 2003. If you make your purchase in the early fall before the dealerships start winterizing they usually have plenty of time to concentrate on your order. Some of the manufacturers have fall promotions going also. I know Alumacraft has their 2005 catalog out already and while Lund's HSOforum still shows the 2004 stuff my guess is their 2005 catalog is available at their dealers also.

There are usually some good quality used and promo boats available in the fall that are less than a year old if you know where to look. Good luck...

Some of the 2005 are out now, There is a boat show Aug 17 at the Blaine sports center they will have 70 05 models from where I bought my boat. Just a heads up. The 05's are going to be a little more money then any 04 because of gas and steel prices shot up this summer.

I've heard from a Service Manager at a large MN dealer that most of the salesmen have copies of the 2005 lund catalogs... they may not have a large number of them, but from what I understand all dealers have at least one copy... most dealers are starting to recieve 2005 boats as well....

One thing that I heard *which is un confirmed* is that the 1800 Lund Explorer will have a large built in rod locker, similar to the 1775 / 1800 Pro V... like I said, it's what I've heard, but have yet to verify it.
