Boat Blisters

Not the kind you get from sitting in the boat from day until night. Does anybody know how to repair blisters in the clear coat on fiberglass. I had some small ones and they are getting bigger and I have a 3 incher that is cracked and broken open.

This is what I have done on my canoe when it gets chips scrapes on it, I would think it would work to repair your "blisters", but it is a little bit of work. Scrap all of the loose pieces off. Sand the area to be repaired. Then fill the area with bondo or or a body filler (I forget what its called but it come in a tube and is ussually a red color found next to the bondo at stores) depending on the depth of the area to be filled. Sand the area. If you used bondo, then spread the body filler over that to smooth it out better. Sand again. Prime, paint and seal it.
