Guest
I'm glad to hear you got some action!I have been chasing them hard and nothing to show for it but a few decent channels. The water temp on the river was 59 yesterday where I was fishing and that is very good news!Keep on cathing them! I'll be catching up to you soon! Mr Special
Glad to know there biting somewhere. Can you fill us in on bait or structure? Thanks
catnipmn
I didn't have time to get bait so I had to pay the BIG bucks for decoy suckers. $1.50 per ouch! As for stucture I just looked for holes with a good amount of current and some slack water nearby.
babybullies
It's good to hear that someone has cought a flat thats over 10lbs. My friends and i have put in a lot of hours of night fishing and all we have to show is seven flat that range from 3 to 10 lbs and one big channle at 17lbs. Good luck and be safe. Fish'n guy
I think that we will start to see a more consistant "big" cat bite when the river finally decides to stabilize. With it going up and down like this all the time those cats can be anywhere ! Its definately nice to see that at least one big cat has come ashore this year, beside John's "massive channel"!!! Ralph Wiggum
I really believe that this spring has been wreaking havoc on the catfishing. A consistent bite has been hard to come by. Lots of weather fluctuations. I'm glad that some are being caught, and it's only a matter of putting in the hours now! I know I've logged quite a few so far...when's my first '06 flattie going to come
rushing
Dont worry Ralph it still sooo early in the season if you dont get one by the end of June then worry. I know a few guys who had fished for almost two season without getting one and they put their time in.

babybullies
Hay rushing when are you going to break the fourty mark. I hope you break it this year or I will start to be worried
rushing
I have come soooo close. So close that if the flattie woulda swallowed my bully it woulda gone over! It seems I catcha a couple at the 38-39lb range every summer. I just dont want to break the fourty mark I wanna shatter it! So I am waiting till just the right fish! Thats my story and I am sticking to it!
Mr Special
Thanks,$1.50 a piece that's a spendy bait. From the looks of it well worth it .
