This is what I keep in my rig.

Fire ext.

GOOD First aid Kit

Hand held Marine Band w/weather channels

Rain gear

Anchor

Tie up ropes

Tow rope

Spare prop and pins

Dock bumpers

Air horn

Little battery operated emergency strobe

Throw able floatation device already tied to a rope

Small tool kit

Spare spark plugs

Emergency rope to hand start motor

Spare key hidden on boat somewhere both boat and truck keys!

Electric tape, duct tape, fuses, cable ties, spare elect wire and connectors

Spotlight

Flashlights

TP

Matches, lighters survival stuff (never know when you may spend the night on an island)

Spare plug

Lil bucket (for the girls and when it’s crowded)

Sunscreen

Bug dope

Good old fashioned compass

Magnet to tie onto tow rope for dropped items, like the keys.

Aspirin / Tums / pepto /sting killer

Spare bulbs for navi lights

I know this seems like a lot of stuff to cram into a boat but it all packs up pretty small and fits in the stows. I use little Tupperware containers or waterproof bags to keep it dry and those containers will float if you do a flip over or swamp out somewhere like Lake of the Woods when its just you for miles.

Ya never know what may happen so might as well be ready for it.
