Bobby Bass
I see in the regs is says this year I can only keep 1 Walleye over 20"In the bay I can keep 2 walleys over 15" mim.So does that mean in the bay I can only have 2 over 15 and one can be over 20? or I can have 2 over 15 ... Northlander?
Northlander
2 fish limit with only 1 eye over 20" now. So you could have 2 19 7/8" eyes or 1 19 7/8" and 1 over 20". No matter what only 2 eyes.
piscatorially chllgd
If your referring to the St. Louis River as the "bay", the limit is 2 over 15". According to the MN DNR, the river is considered border water and therefore the inland 1 over 20" does not apply.
Northlander
I just called the Mn. DNR office and I was told that it is still a 2 walleye limit with a 15" size limit. According to them you COULD keep 2 eyes over 20" if ya want. I will investigate this further but I guess thats what Im going with til I hear differently. Thanks piscatorially chllgd.I guess it would be hard to tell if ya got them out of the Lake Superior South Shore wich is Wi. waters. Unless they saw ya coming from up river or fishing the river or bay.I will question some of the local DNR officers I know about this and post what I find out.
