Crankin for Gills

The last 2 outings I have been throwing a Rapala Countdown CD-1 I believe, it only has one trebel hook on it. Anyways, I have been really hammering the gills on it. It's a great way to weed out the smaller gills and get into the biggest fish in the lake.

Also attracts other out of season game fish like pike and bass so bring with plenty of extra cranks as you will lose a few.

one of my favorite lures for gills is the smaller rapala jointed shad rap, for some reason they love that lure, get a lot of bigger ones on it.

If you use a small beatle spin they work great too on aggresive or larger sunfish.
