Merc's Hustler Props

I experienced a problem I was wondering if any of you have had.I have a 125 Merc with the Hustler prop in a 21 pitch and one at a 23 pitch.while cruising last week at about 50 (deep water no rocks) my boat rpm's kicked up and the whole boat shook.I raised the motor to notice 1 fin snapped off of the prop.I replaced it with the 23 and continued on.Two days later the same thing happened to my brand new spare prop , and the break was almost exactly the same.I heard these were rated to 65+mph and none of the dealers are of any help to me.I appreciate any comments on this prop that you can give me.

Here is some advice !

Remove the cotter pin and leave the castle nut loose with any luck the Hustler prop will fall off in 40 feet of water.

Buy a stainless steel prop with the insurance money and you won't have to listen to the dealers tell you that you are the only one having such a problem. It worked for me !

I talked to Turning Point(makers of the hustler ) they told me there was a defect in a batch of their props, told me to return it to them and they are sending me a stainless in place of the aluminum I had..
so if any of you have this prop and it fails they will take good care of you..

I too had that happen. I was running WOT in a tourney and 1 Blade came off my prop. Needless to say I dumped it and went to a Michigan Wheel Ballistic Prop and oh...I LOVE IT!
